What are the clinic hours?

  • The clinic is open Monday to Friday 8:30 am to 12 am and 1 pm to 5 pm.

  • We are closed Saturday and Sunday and on Statutory Holidays.

  • Presently none of our doctors are accepting new patients

  • The Yukon Government has developed a program to help match people with a family doctor. You can apply for this program by clicking here.

HOW DO I SWITCH TO A NEW FAMILY DOCTOR?

  • If you have a concern with you current family doctor, we recommend you book an appointment with them to discuss this and see if your concern can be resolved

  • We are unable to provide patients with a new doctor as none of our physicians are currently taking new patients and there are many people in Whitehorse do not have a family doctor at all

WHAT DO I DO IF MY PRESCRIPTION IS GOING TO RUN OUT BEFORE MY NEXT APPOINTMENT?

  • Call your pharmacy, the pharmacist may be able to provide an extension on your medication until your next appointment or send a fax to your doctor to request a refill on your behalf

WHAT DO I DO IF I NEED TO SEE A DOCTOR TODAY AND MY DOCTOR IS NOT AVAILABLE?

  • Our clinic provides same day appointments through the RAPID ACCESS CLINIC (RAC). Each day, all the doctors working in clinic have a limited amount of same day appointments available.

  • Call first thing in the morning to request an appointment, the RAC is first come, first served and fills up quickly

  • The RAC is for simple, short appointments, since you may not be seeing your own doctor. If you have a complex medical condition or feel you need a longer appointment, please book an appointment with your family doctor.

MY FAMILY MEMBER HAS AN APPOINTMENT WITH MY DOCTOR, CAN THE DOCTOR QUICKLY SEE ME TOO?

  • No, our doctors are fully booked every day and run very busy clinics. Trying to fit in extra patients causes them to run behind. If you need an appointment, please book one for yourself.

WILL MY DOCTOR CALL ME ABOUT MY TEST RESULTS:

  • If you have an abnormal test result, your doctor will call you or you will be asked to book a follow up appointment to discuss your result

  • Our doctors receive hundreds of tests results per day, they are unable to call everyone with normal results. If you want to talk about your normal test results, please ask your doctor at the end of your visit when you should book an appointment to follow up

How do I transfer my medical records to a doctor at your clinic?

You have two options:

  1. Come in to our clinic to fill out and sign a Request for Medical Records form

  2. Go to your present doctor’s office and fill out a Medical Records Release form so that your records can be sent to us.

How do I transfer my medical records from your clinic to another doctor?

  • You must come in to the clinic and complete a Medical Records Release form. This form indicates what records you want released and to whom. It is signed by you, giving us authorization to release the records.
